Does Internet Marketing enable more effective targeting ?
Internet marketing does help by targeting specific age or gender group, and what most business look to target is the age group, first of all the reason why business use the Internet for targeting there product to something specific is that most people that use the Internet are at the age of 16 to about 45 and this is there main aim of focus so they have products that these people wont, for example if people over 60 only used the Internet then not man business would use it for marketing. Also what many business do is when someone registers on there web site and buys something, then the business will send adverts and promotional stuff that links in on what you bought, and this is also target marketing. Also they advertise on specific web sites, because of the people that are on there are what they think would buy there products, and some websites a business might advertise on could be facebook, twiter and bebo and these are very good sites for teenage people.
